🍳✈️ Passport to Flavor! 🌎👩‍🍳👨‍🍳

Students at Hillsboro Intermediate recently showed off their culinary creativity during this year’s Future Chefs Challenge and the results were delicious!

This year’s theme was “Passport to Flavor,” and five talented young chefs stepped up to the challenge:
👩‍🍳 Audrey Blum
👨‍🍳 Carter Felio
👩‍🍳 Mya Jones
👨‍🍳 Samuel Kholostov
👩‍🍳 Claire Mitchell

Our judges Scott Readnour, Billy Reece, and Sodexo Executive Chef Karin Mann sampled dishes inspired by family traditions and flavors from around the world.

🍜 Claire impressed the judges with a ramen dish topped with hard-boiled eggs.
🥢 Carter wowed them with an Asian-inspired recipe.
🌮 Mya served up a flavorful Tex-Mex chicken enchilada.
🇺🇦 Samuel shared a Ukrainian chicken dish that honored his family’s roots.

But in the end, one dish stood above the rest…

🏆 Audrey Blum took first place with “MeMaw’s World Famous Rigatoni.”
