RE: New guidance from Gov. Parsons November 12, 2020 Today, Governor Parson, the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services, and the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education announced new guidance for schools regarding close contacts and quarantines. - https://governor.mo.gov/press-releases/archive/governor-parson-announces-changes-states-k-12-school-quarantine-guidance - We are communicating with the Jefferson County Health Department to get further clarification on the new guidance. The message is clear that masks are considered an essential mitigation strategy. This new guidance could help reduce the number of quarantines as staff and students are required to wear masks in school when social distancing is not possible. Yet, it won’t help with close contacts that occur outside of school that might lead to quarantines. Respectfully, Dr. Jon Isaacson Superintendent

Our STUCO, under the direction of Mrs Hassell, does a great job of doing the little things that give our school a positive climate! Here are locker signs that they make for their classmates.

There will be a Special Board Meeting on Tuesday, November 10th at 6pm in the Auditorium for the purpose of requesting approval to pause our planned return to a 4-day week for grades K-6. The recommendation will be to maintain our current Hybrid schedule through the 1st semester and re-evaluate prior to January 19, 2021. The health data in our schools and community continue to trend in a more negative direction with some of the highest levels we have seen to date. There has been a significant increase in the number of cases locally that is impacting our schools, including both students and staff.
