We are working hard every single day to make school as safe AND effective as possible. Now that we are presenting a hybrid model, I could spend the day working on details to make school happen.

Hang in there. I know many of you have concerns or questions. While we don’t have all the answers yet, we are having conversations every day that will help us get ready for school.
Lots of baby steps....but we will get there!

Parents and Student-Athletes,
If you are planning on attending any of our Hillsboro Sports Camps, Open Gyms, Tryouts, Weight-Lifting, or Practices this summer, you will need to have a parent/guardian sign a waiver before you can participate. If you are a multi-sport athlete, then we ask that you bring a copy for each sport you are attending. Parents and students need to read and follow the precautions and guidelines to make sure that these activities are as safe as they can be for all of our participants. This same waiver will be used by all public schools in our county as a measure of creating a safe environment. There are paper copies available in a bin outside the JH entrance. In addition, coaches will have paper copies on site.
Thank you,
Mr.A

Hillsboro Students, Parents, and Community,
Missouri Governor Mike Parson just announced in the Thursday, April 9th press briefing that all Missouri public and charter schools shall remain closed through this school year due to the COVID-19 virus.
While we anticipated that this day may come, we held out hope that our students would be able to return to their school buildings again during the 2019-2020 school year, unfortunately, that will not be a reality.
The buildings will be closed for the remainder of the year; however, the district will continue to proceed as we planned by staying connected to our students and community. We are committed to continue to provide services such as much-needed meals to the students and additional educational opportunities. The administration, teachers, and staff are committed to continuing our important work with and for our students through the last day of school, May 27, 2020.
Your child’s school will be reaching out next week to share our plan for continued learning through the end of May.
We know that the Governor’s announcement will create a number of new questions about specific issues such as: grading, graduation, prom, athletics, and summer school. The district will be working to continue to navigate those issues and will provide information and details when they have been finalized.
We would like to thank the entire Hillsboro School Community for your patience and hardwork during the last few weeks and for what is to come in the foreseeable future. Together - we will all get through this. We are #hawkstrong.
Stay safe and healthy,
Dr. Jon Isaacson
Superintendent
