We are incredibly proud to share that Mrs. Melissa Hildebrand, Associate Superintendent of Hillsboro R-3, has been named the Greater St. Louis Region Assistant Superintendent of the Year by the Missouri Association of School Administrators (MASA).
This prestigious honor recognizes exceptional leadership, service, and commitment to students, staff, and community—and Mrs. Hildebrand exemplifies all of that and more.
For 21 years, Mrs. Hildebrand has served Hillsboro R-3 with unwavering dedication to students. Her leadership has helped shape academic programs, facilities improvements, and expanded counseling and social work services to support both student learning and well-being. She has also guided important districtwide transitions that strengthened alignment and continuity across campuses.
Beyond our district, Mrs. Hildebrand is a respected mentor and collaborator throughout Jefferson County and a strong advocate for women in educational leadership. Her experience as a principal at multiple levels and her service as Co-Superintendent during the 2018–2019 school year reflect the trust and respect she has earned across Hillsboro R-3.
As Superintendent Dr. Jon Isaacson shared:
“Her wisdom, integrity, and steady leadership have strengthened Hillsboro R-3. I am deeply grateful for her partnership and proud to serve alongside her.”
Mrs. Hildebrand will be recognized with other regional honorees at the MASA/MOSPRA Spring Conference on March 18th
