During the course of the last few weeks, we have received several calls or emails from parents that are concerned about the safety of their students. We share those same concerns and want to do what we can to assist anyone dealing with these issues. In the interest of sharing information to educate parents, we are hosting a JH & HS PARENT MEETING on Tuesday, 12/4/2018, in the Junior High Cafeteria from 6-7 p.m. Link to more information >>

11/29/2018 - The following message will be sent to Hillsboro High School parents and guardians this morning: “As you are already aware a message was found in a High School boy’s bathroom yesterday, November 28th. In an effort to keep you informed all student lockers were searched last night and backpacks were searched this morning. In addition, metal detecting wands were used to determine if any students were in possession of a weapon. Both Jefferson County and Hillsboro Police were present throughout the building. There was NO evidence of a weapon found and students were able to return to their daily routine. There will be limited access to the restrooms during instructional time and the bathrooms will be closely monitored during passing periods. Please continue to visit with your child regarding the seriousness of these actions. Students who make any type of threat will receive serious consequences. Thank you for your continued patience and understanding.”
