At Hillsboro Intermediate, learning came to life in two very different but equally meaningful ways. In one classroom, students explored food chains, discovering how every living thing plays a role and depends on others to survive.
Just down the hall, students experienced something just as powerful, watching baby chicks develop inside their eggs and gaining a firsthand look at how life begins.
While the lessons looked different, the outcome was the same. Students were engaged, curious, and making real connections to the world around them. These kinds of hands-on experiences help turn everyday lessons into moments that stick, giving students a deeper understanding of life, science, and how everything is connected.
