Jan Hoth New Intermediate School Assistant Principal 2026-2027 School Year

HILLSBORO, Mo. — The Hillsboro R-3 School District has announced the hiring of Jan Hoth as the next assistant principal at Hillsboro Intermediate School when the new 2026-27 school year begins in the fall.

Hoth will replace Phil Jacquot, who is leaving the district to become principal at Forder Elementary School in the Mehlville School District.

Hoth has served as an English teacher at Hillsboro High School for the past two years and brings nearly 20 years of experience in education to her new role. During her career, she has taught in the Mexico, Northwest, Lindbergh and Webster Groves school districts before joining Hillsboro R-3.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in social science, a master’s degree in curriculum and instruction, and an educational specialist degree in K-12 administration.

Hoth and her husband, Nick, who teaches strength and conditioning and physical education at Hillsboro High School, have three children: Elaine, Ann and Will.
