The Hillsboro R-3 School District's August 2025 enrollment and attendance data reflect a strong start to the 2025–2026 school year. While total enrollment has again declined from the prior year, the overall attendance percentage increased to 96.93%, marking a continued upward trend in student presence and engagement.

The overall enrollment decreased by 55 students compared to August 2024. Despite this decline, nearly all grade levels posted attendance percentages above 96%, demonstrating a continued district-wide commitment to student attendance.

This data will continue to be monitored and updated throughout the school year; however, these early results suggest a positive outlook for maintaining a strong student ADA, even amid declining enrollment trends, due to changing factors such as birth rates and limited availability of housing within the district.

Despite the drop in enrollment, the attendance rate improved by more than half a percentage point, which reflects positively on back-to-school efforts and aligns with Strategic Plan attendance goals.
