Graduation is May 20, 2025,
7:00 pm. ( Seniors should be there by 6:00 p.m.) at
Jefferson College.
Practice is May 20, at 9 a.m. at Jefferson College.(seniors should expect to be there at least 2 hours)
5 tickets will be given to the seniors at end of practice.
A possibility for one more ticket will be discussed in an email sent out by Office Manager, Mrs. Christy Schacht. (It’s all based on how many seniors decide not to walk, freeing up seating.)
Seniors were asked to download the BAND app at the beginning of the year so they can stay in touch even after 1st semester graduation , since school emails are deleted. That can still be done. 😄
[Band Invite]
Mrs. Moore invited you to the 'Seniors 2025' Band.
Accept the invite and join the group!

The last day of school for students will be Thursday, May 29th. We appreciate all the hard work, dedication, and support from our students, staff, and families throughout the year, and we’re excited to finish strong!
For those interested in summer school, sessions will run from June 3rd through June 27th. More details will be shared soon.

Good evening,
We want to provide an update regarding the situation. The source of the leak has been located, and crews are actively working to correct the issue.
At this time, we plan to HAVE school tomorrow - Wednesday, March 12.
However, we want to be transparent that, despite the our best efforts, unforeseen challenges can arise.
Our team will be up early in the morning checking water pressure to ensure that restroom facilities are fully operational. If conditions change, we will notify you as soon as possible.
If you do not receive a call in the morning indicating otherwise, please plan for school as scheduled.
Please bring bottled water. The city will be under a boil order.
We sincerely appreciate your patience and understanding as we work through this issue.
Sincerely,
Dr. Jon Isaacson
Superintendent

❄️Snow Day Announcement – Tuesday, February 18, 2025 ❄️
Due to the forecasted winter storm and out of an abundance of caution, there will be NO SCHOOL in the Hillsboro R-III School District on Tuesday, February 18, 2025.
The storm is expected to impact our area midday, and given the district’s geographic size and the time required for buses to complete afternoon routes, this decision ensures all students and staff can be safely home before conditions deteriorate.
Announcing this closure the night before allows families time to plan, with safety as our top priority.
Stay safe and enjoy the snow day!

Please take part in this quick survey! 💙
The Hillsboro R-3 School District hopes to expand and create a PTO (Parents & Teachers Organization) that encompasses grades Pre-K-8. Each building would have a chapter of the PTO. This survey is to determine interest from our families in order to achieve this goal. We realize not all families have the time to dedicate, but we would appreciate completion of the survey either way. Please read through the following questions and mark based on your availability/interest. Thank you for your participation in this survey and your continued support of the Hillsboro R-3 School District. https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSesGPsRVDpz2KnIdDufCq02LW2jIo-vp2xNDF0ylJdfSYMXJg/viewform?vc=0&c=0&w=1&flr=0

Friendly Reminder: Please wash your student(s) jackets/coats, and wipe down book bags & Chromebooks (please use lightly dampened cloth on Chromebooks) - Every little bit helps in the fight against germs! 💙🦠 Thanks for your efforts to help keep our kiddos healthy! School Resumes TOMORROW -Monday, January 13!

Dear Hillsboro Families and Staff,
While the weather has significantly helped today, the campus and some routes have not yet reached a level of safety that I am comfortable with for our students and staff. Additionally, we are closely monitoring another weather system expected to bring snow this evening and early tomorrow morning.
Considering these factors and to provide families ample time to plan, there will be NO School in the Hillsboro R-III School District on Friday, January 10, 2025.
Students will have an AMI Day to continue their learning from home.
I commend our staff for their hard work and dedication throughout this challenging week. Thank you, parents and caregivers, for your efforts with the kids this week. Thank you for your continued patience and support of the district as we prioritize the safety of our students and staff.
We look forward to welcoming everyone back on Monday!
Sincerely,
Dr. Jon Isaacson
